She wanted her oc/persona Mica as a traditional japanese archer, I hope I got the look correctly ;A; And she wanted a detailed bg as well and had no clue what to do, because everything that came to my mind required a static position and she specifically requested a shooting position, so ;v;

Then I got this concept bg: [link]
And the result is what you see ^^
I'm pretty proud of how it came out, and I didn't even need to look for perspective references or anything! <3

I truly did all my best for this. I know my bgs are not the best, but I really hope you like it ^^

From an artistic perspective, this is a fine piece, and I have no critique of it.  However, regarding the archery, I have the following comments.  I'm not an expert on these matters, but I notice a few things:

1. She is not drawing the fletching of the arrow near her face.  This means the line of the arrow is not anywhere near the line of sight from her eyes to the head of the arrow.  I would suspect this would make her aim worse.

2. She's not resting the head end of the arrow on much.  It looks like it should slip right off her left thumb.

3. I think the arrow is supposed to go on the same side of the bow as the arm that is holding it.  In this case, she's holding the bow with her left hand, so the arrow is supposed to travel on the left side of the bow (crossing over the left wrist).

4. While it makes her look more attractive, I think standing with her weight shifted to her right like that is not a typical archery stance, which I think is more just a natural, balanced stance (more or less equal weight on both feet).

5. Perhaps she's just posing for the camera and not taking aim yet, in which case it doesn't matter that the arrow is not near her face, or that she's not looking at her target.  But if she's supposed to be aiming at something, her eyes should be looking at the target, not the camera. If the apple in the foreground is supposed to be her target, then I think the arrow should be pointing almost directly at the camera (towards the viewer).  In that case, we would be looking almost straight down the shaft of the arrow, and straight down the length of her arm.  Because we can see so much of her front, the arrow must be pointing off to our right (her left), and not at the apple in the foreground.

Anyway, just some nit picking here, no big deal.  As artwork, this is still nice.  :)

Bad-ass!! I love the diversity and the fact that it shows off ur color skills. The wood..the water..her eyes. Great job.

And then she missed and her arrow killed a random passerby.

Wow, this is amazing! I love how you made the entire picture look like a traditional Japanese setting! And the best part is that you made it in a way that looks like a real-life scenario, shooting an apple down from a tree to practice Archery. That sounds very convincing as a training method. :)
