It's again that time of the year where Kitty jumps on the bandwagon uvu

I had a sort of love/hate relationship with art improvement this year. At first I was happy 'cause I was improving fast compared to last year, but around summer couldn't see the slightest improvement from past months and tried to push myself on art more.

But looking at it now, improvement was slow but it eventually came <3 And I hope next year my art will get even better ^^

Art-wise, I improved with (in my opinion of course) :
--- anatomy, mainly thanks to practice with ecchi pictures;
--- perspective, this year I did many new perspective practice compared to before;
--- color, along with better anatomy I tried to give more depth/details to my coloring, and practiced with ambient light;
--- linearts, I left the ink pen and brush tools to stick with the pen tool;
--- backgrounds, I went from transparent to textures/patterns/brushes, and even did a few complex backgrounds.

Looking forward to improve my facial expressions, complex backgrounds, and generally improve a bit everything >u<
Also looking forward very much to develop a painted style, and maybe even a semi-realistic style! :la:

This year I also opened for the first time money commissions, got better at designing characters, did for the first time anthro/furry and feral (Pokemon/MLP) arts, and was invited to pro SecretSanta and Secret Valentine events!
I also changed my artist name from Kawaii Kitty x3 to DesiréeU (and improved a bit my crappy English xD)! :heart:

I'm glad I got from 862 watchers to 2383 in one year, but what matters most is that I lost contacts with a few very good friends of mine due to online inactivity...I'm sorry guys, I really wish we could talk more ;A; I'd gladly give away all of my watchers to be close with you again </3
I met some very awesome people too, though! And I'm very glad I could befriend them <3
So thank you to everyone who stuck with me despite everything :huggle:

All in all, it was a pretty good year (well, just art-wise), I just wish I could be more active...but I really hope 2013 will bring lots of good things, for all of you as well <333

It looks like I've missed a ton of your awesome work over this year and the last. XD But what can I say, I'm a fairly new watcher of yours still. ^^; But I think your work looks amazing all year just from what I can tell here. ^^ Though I can see some improvement yes. :) Thanks for sharing all of this, it's nice to get a look back and hear some of your thoughts on your work. And Happy New Year to ya! I hope the new year is a great one for you in every way. Take care. ^^

Baby you have definitely improved so much!! Of course you're amazing and I've looked up to you all along man uvu You have definitely improved in all of those things!! Your colouring and everything is just even more phenomenal than before and I'm sure it will just continue to get better with time! *A*I've noticed you have also improved with faceshape and eyes! I can't wait to see more from you and your improvement in 2013 <3<3<3
